Reminder for Thursday--Picasso's Dream Playdate...

We are inviting parents and their children to the daycare's Picasso's Dream Playdate. Sheets will be put up all around the backyard and the kids will be painting on them. Snacks will be provided. If it's warm we will have the little pools out (Swimsuits and swimmies optional). White T-shirts will also be provided to dirty up!

We ask that families attending please bring a non-perishable item...see more information on tab on right under Picasso's Dream Playdate.

Saugatuck Outreach Nutrition Program

Child enrollment forms are to be signed for the new year (July 2010-June 2010) to be included in the lunch program. This program helps your provider serve nutritious meals and snacks to children enrolled. I have already filled out most of the sheet and will need this done by Wednesday. Thank you for your cooperation!

Water Shoes

If you haven't done so already please feel free to bring in a pair of water shoes for your child so that we don't have to muck up there sneakers during the outside summer play.

July 4th Holiday

Just a reminder that July 4th is a daycare holiday which falls on a Sunday this year. As stated if our daycare rate sheet if any holidays falls on a Sunday, we will be closed the following Monday. Please make a note the July 5th the daycare will be closed.

Picasso's Dream Playdate Food Drive Kickoff!

If you haven't heard already my son and family will be starting a food drive for the month of July. All proceeds will be going to our nearest food bank. To kick-off this event we are inviting parents and their children to the daycare's Picasso's Dream Playdate. Sheets will be put up all around the backyard and the kids will be painting on them. We have been cleaning and organizing through the daycare and of our own children's things and are giving away a bunch of children's books. Most in brand new condition. Please feel free to check by the cubbies and take any books home with you that your child may like!

Photography

My friend Felicia has started her own photography business and is going to be at the ice cream social on Friday to take pictures. Each family will receive a free 8X10 with a signed model release waiver and additional photos can be purchased at an affordable price. If you are interested in having photos taken of your child let me know. She is also willing to come on another day if your child will not be at daycare. Check out her site here...

Ice Cream Social

Friday June 18th is Ms. Stacey's Birthday and we will be celebrating with friends outdoors with an ice cream social at 3:00pm. Parents are invited. Please bring in one box of cones for the big event.

New Vaccine Requirements for Children

The Hepatitis A and influenza (flu shot) vaccines have been added to the list of REQUIRED immunizations for children enrolled at daycare! Children who have not received the flu vaccine (ages 6 months-4 years) by Dec 31st must be excluded from child care for the duration of the influenza season (through March 31st) or until they receive at least one dose of the influenza vaccine.

I've been sick for a couple of days with bronchitis, sinus infection and fevers but was immediately treated and given antibiotics...Last night Aiden began having a fever and complained about a sore throat but currently doesn't have any other symptoms..Please watch for any signs of illness in your children.
