Hurricane Earl

I'm sure you have heard about Hurricane Earl, it is currently a category 4 storm down in the Carolinas and estimates are that it (hopefully) may be downgraded to a category 2 by the time it reaches New England (sometime Friday). The coastal areas are expected to be the hardest hit and you can expect rainy, windy weather all day, with the heaviest winds in the afternoon. You may see tree limbs down, power outages and flooding so be prepared. Some recommendations on how to prepare:
-Remove and store all patio furniture and outside equipment that may blow around and cause damage to windows or doors.
-Make sure you have flashlights, batteries, candles (with matches), coolers,a portable radio etc. in case you lose power.
-Charge your cell phones and make contingency contact plans with family members.
-If flooding gets really bad, gather your important documents (passports, wills, etc.)and protect them in a waterproof bag or case.

I hope that the course of this storm moves away from this area but it is better to be prepared than to be sorry.
