Projects for the week...

Monday
OCTOPUS
-Fine Motor-Color the octopus. Glue some tentacles (black shoe laces) onto the octopus
-Math-have the children count the legs on the octopus
-Library- "An Octopus Followed me Home" By Dan Yaccarino "Good Thing You're Not an Octopus!" by pat Huntchins

Tuesday
LETTER O
-Fine Motor-Let the children color or paint the letter O. Talk about the color of the letter. Let the children outline the letter with their finger so they can get the feel of the letter. Cut out the letter and hang it on the wall

Wednesday
PASSOVER MEAL
-Fine Motor-Color the Passover meal
-Cognitive-Describe the different foods at the Passover meal and what each food means
-Library-It's Seder Time" By Latifa Berry Kropf and "Rebecca's Passover" By Adele Geras

Thursday
BURNING BUSH
-Fine Motor-Color the burning bush. Glue the tissue paper on the bush to pretend it is burning
-Texture-Let the children explore the feel of the tissue paper
-Library-"All About Passover" By Kinny Kreiswirth

Friday
EASTER EGG
-Fine Motor-Glue the colored ribbon on the East egg. Glue the egg onto the construction paper. Have the children color "Happy Easter".
-Texture-What does the ribbon feel like? What does a real egg feel like?
-Science-What happens if you hold an egg tightly in your hand?
